FreeBSD hates me. for some reason, it keeps rebooting whenever i do anything intense that requires swapping. i’ve been dealing with this for a while now until yesterday when my box rebooted itself and then rebooted itself again and again and again. at that point it was 11:30 at night or so and i just let it run. i mean, who knows, at that point i was willing to let the damn thing fsck itself out of it.

unfortunately, no such luck. it ended up rebooting 34 times before all the dumped cores took up all the space on the filesystem and then we really halted. one of those cores was 14GB. holy cow.

sorry, i don’t mean to rant incoherently, but it’s 2:30 am and i’ve just made up for all the lost time due to this damn box.

oh, and for you ccit haters, believe me, you got it good. sheesh.
