here we go, about to start the crazy month of october. goes a little something like this:

sept. 26th - 28th: vegas
oct. 2 - 3: the chuburys come to town!
oct. 9: sactown for a book release party
oct. 14 - 15: orange county for a wedding
oct. 22 - 23: sactown to help mom with a . . . potluck
oct. 28 - 31: NYC . . . !

bruce was in hong kong this past weekend and hence a union of the wang-wong-woo clan. got a very . . . ice filled call from them i guess. anyway, it appears mr. willie wong and mr. li meng are coming to town in january and are looking to hit up vegas . . . this makes my january very vegas heavy.

i wish i had something insightful in this post rather than a lame regurgitation of my itinerary . . . so much for wishing.

so, getting through this day of all days wasn’t so bad. i spent most of it running errands and looking at houses instead of being down on myself. i guess things are significantly different this year, being closer to family and whatnot. also, i think i juked myself into a day of mourning last month, when i woke up and though it was sept. 17 when, in reality, it was oct. 17. pehaps too much driving makes time feel eternal.

getting from ogre to onion is not easy. especially when low on sleep and/or doing push-ups every fifteen minutes. unfortunately, time is not on my side either.

i think part of the problem is that when making the conversion, you lose some of the essence that is ogre, and you end up with ogrion and not an ogre-onion.

traffic is a wonderful thing. experienced my first nfl opening weekend. watching our shizzle bear up to the task was pretty sweet. req/s was orders of magnitude greater than anything i’ve ever seen. sweet.

So, i’m supposed to be creating this prototype of something at work. Except, the more i delve into it, the closer i get to something, well, else. unfortunately, this something else is something that people around here, well, don’t like.

maybe i can make this more of an onion than on ogre?

nothing cuts more than being helpless. watching a friend crumble, knowing no matter how good of a hand you can extend, it’s just not good enough.
