In light of recent comments on the aesthetics of attack-gecko.net and the soon to be one year anniversary of the domain, i’d like to take a moment to reflect on the recent changes that some may or may not have noticed.

First, a couple weeks ago(months?) i took an hour or two to redo the layout.  It’s subtle, i know, but when i moved to wordpress, i did the bare minimum to get it up and running an looking something like what i used to have.  there were some problems, though.  the content was all left aligned and looked squished when maximized at over 1024×768. Also, i had lost some of the little knick knacks like that fun little icon next to links.

anyway, all that has been fixed for the most part.  in addition, i put in some “spread the word” links.  So, you can now find quick ways to digg my posts if i ever write something digg worthy.  reddit, delicious and myweb are also available.

while i was at it, i figured I might as well try to monetize this site a bit.  faithful readers might have noticed the new YPN ads to the right, under the search bar (go ahead and click them!  i mean, who would want to buy garden gnomes?). also, the book list is integrated into the amazon associates program, so i get a little kick back from them if you buy a book via clicking the links on this site.

there are still some things that need to be worked on.  the archive navigation isn’t quite there yet, and my links section has stupid li glyphs next to them.  maybe one day i’ll get around to those.

So, i guess that brings us up to date. oh, and y’all get a new font today.  yay!
