New York in February
Monday, February 19th, 2007Something i thought i’d never see again. With wind chill, the temperature ranged from 30 to 3 degrees over my stay. Had to whip out the coat that i thought i’d never use again, too.
was it worth it? begrudgingly, i have to say yeah, absolutely. highlights include:
- finally finished Heat on the plane ride
- walking around the city for five hours visiting every duane reade, walgreens, and cvs in search of a red gift bag
- valentine’s day dinner in some random eatery near nyu which brilliantly illustrated my strong belief in not going out on valentine’s day
- gift exchange
- jacques torres
- drinks with sue
- drinks later that night with jeng
- dinner with dave, eliza and katie
- should i mentions the karaoke? i guess i just did.
- brunch at jane with carmen’s mom
- dinner at babbo. yum.
Most poignant question of the trip:
jeng: So, where’s the light at the end of the tunnel?
Most interesting statement:
sue: well, you need someone to take care of you when you get old.
So, a great trip from end to end. Thanks to all who had time to play. See you next time!
